Disneyland Paris Attractions

Disneyland Paris Resort is broken down into two main dividing areas, whose opening times do vary, these areas are Disneyland Park and Disneyland Studios.

Each of the areas have their own themes, attractions and rides and are therefore broken down into sub-parks or in Disney speak - Lands. Disneyland Park contains Adventureland, Discoveryland, Fantasyland, Frontierland and Main Street USA. Many of these lands are replicated across the whole Disney park empire throughout the world, but each do have subtle differences according to country you are in.

The theme that each land is based around usually comes from a Disney favourite and are aimed at a specific group. For example :

Fantasyland is targeted towards the younger members of the family and is where you will find the more traditional Disney characters, such as Sleeping Beauty and her Castle, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Alice in Wonderland or Dumbo. If its an alcoholic drink you are after you wont find one sold in this area of the park!.

Adventureland is aimed at slightly older children with its good old fashioned outdoor style attractions. Adventureland is usually based around Peter Pan and his exploits, the Swiss Family Robinson and Davy Crockett.

Frontierland is based around Americas Wild West, with Gold Mining Towns, Runaway Trains and paddle steamers from the deep south.

Discoveryland centres around the future and far away galaxies. Disney favourites such as Buzz Lightyear inhabit this area of the resort.

Main Street USA is an area for the whole family and is all things American. This is generally where the parades take place in the evenings and is where you may spy Mickey Mouse and his illustrious counterparts.
