Traveling To Disneyland Paris

Traveling to Disneyland Paris from the UK is fairly straightforward, and due to the number of ways to get there, not as expensive as you may think.

Disneyland Paris is located just 19 miles (32 kilometres) east of Paris itself and as Paris is only around 200 miles from London, its not too far at all.

In fact using London as a bench mark location, you should be there within 3 hours, whichever mode of transport you choose to travel under.

You can travel cheaply to Disneyland Paris by Eurostar, regular train, car, or by plane. below are a list of brief directions and suitable websites which can help.

By Eurostar

This is a fantastic method of travelling to Disneyland Paris. Simply make your way to London Waterloo station, which is home to the Eurostar train and services.
Eurostar offer an hourly service to Paris and a number of trains directly to the main gates of Disneyland Paris at Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station. Eurostar trains bound to Disney Paris currently depart daily from London Waterloo at 9.30am. Your return train currently departs from Disneyland Resort Paris at 6.46pm.
Waterloo to Disneyland Paris takes under 3 hours by Eurostar.

By Train

Catch a train from Calais to Paris Nord. This service takes roughly an hour and runs regularly. It should cost on average about £26 return. Once in Paris take the RER A train, it’s then only 35 - 40 minutes from the centre of Paris to Marne-la-Vallée / Chessy station. When departing from Paris ensure that you are headed in the direction for Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy, and that the signs state that the train does actually stop at Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy, as some trains do terminate before then. Avoid trains with the destination 'Boissy'. The last train back to Paris is just after midnight, so if you are not stopping over dont get caught out! (it might only be 19 miles, but its a very long walk!).

By Car

From Calais simply follow signs for Paris on the A26 then A1. Driving in France is not difficult and this drive should take around 3 hours. Remember to stop regularly for breaks!
The Disney resort is actually on the A4 (Autoroute de l'Est) and you need to take exit (sorte) 14, "Val d'Europe, Parc Disneyland". Rather than drive directly into Paris and then out again you can get the A104 "La Francilienne" which by-passes Paris.

Driving from Paris simply take the A4 at the "Porte de Bercy" exit (south east of Paris), follow "Metz / Nancy" on the A4 motorway. Again exiting at junction 14. If you dont want to use your own car or your own car isnt big enough to bring back all those Disney souveniers, then you can always hire a car for the trip. Also dont forget to inform your insurance provider that you are taking your car abroad!

Car Parking prices at Disneyland Paris are currently around 8 Euros a day for a car, 10 Euros for Coaches and 5 Euros for Motorbikes.

Getting to Calais by Ferry is obviously a good option and relatively cheap. For current information, sailing times and to book - click here.

By Plane

You can grab a cheap flight from many of the airlines and fly either into Paris Charles-de-Gaulle or Orly airport. A shuttle service known as VEA connects you from both Paris airports directly to the park opperating on a regular basis, 7 days a week. Planes from the UK to Paris now operate out of most regional airports as well as the obvious larger London based ones.
